Christmas time at the farm


The bees are all bundled up in their hives for the cold weather. They are staying in a clump called a winter cluster. They shiver their wings all winter long to produce heat and keep the center of the cluster as high as 90 degrees. They take turns leaving the cluster to grab a bit of honey to pass around for everyone to eat! Such neat creatures bees!! Stay tuned for more neat bee info as we bring you more posts from the hive!!
