Getting ready for spring in the hive!

Today in the hive we are preparing for a great season. the girls(worker bees) are getting ready to spring into action and have already started harvesting the one of the first pollens out which is maple! Yep bet you though it was only flower plants pollen bees collected. They also collect tree pollen! This makes the honey great for allergies. Here is a picture of the anther of a maple bud and a grains of pollen from a maple tree seen on our microscope! As the bees start working we are working hard too. getting new homes(hives)
